Machermo is a small village that was once the home to many tibetan traders. It's one of the most magnificent small enclaves in the Gokyo valley and a welcome rest for those of us heading up to Gokyo. There's a great lodge here with food worth crawling on hand and knee to get there for. But the best is the valley up behind the lodge where I took this shot at sunrise...
