Many years ago, this lady graduated from Harvard with a PhD in Science. She abandoned her career to fight for equality. She went to Tibet, she hid for 6 months in a secret place so she could learn. Then to Sri Lanka to learn more. They wouldn't ordane her so she went to Taiwan and studied and practiced and became ordaned and then went to India to talk to the Dali Lama and now, she built a shack in the Himalayas of Nepal. Right now, my wonderful friend is in a 3 year, 3 month, 3 week, 3 day, 3 hour retreat. Alone. Only one friend can deliver food. And one doctor her care. I miss her deeply but every time I bring gifts to her carer, I know that she knows that I am there. We are brother and sister, we know.
