I think the world is heading in a beautiful direction although it's probably not what I was hoping or thinking would happen on many levels.
I hoped for more peace, more feeding of hungry children and less violence. But, that's me coating my world with leather rather than putting on shoes.
Life is how we see it. An ice cream can be a disgusting agglomeration of fat, cholesterol, mind spinning sugar and hidden pharmaceuticals or it can be the most delicious loving treat in the hands of a child.
I might have my ideas about life but if those ideas are in conflict with Nature's Universal Laws who do you think is going to come out on top?
Nature isn't interested in peace: she wants evolution. Resist all we want, there's just no option.
Nature isn't interested in feeding starving children either: she demands balance between consumption and evolution. Statistics are of no meaning to her.
Nature isn't interested in religions either: she's interested only in love - the balance between support and challenge and not the ego.
I guess it depends on which glasses we look through as to what we see and how we see the world. I think, through the eyes of nature, all is sacred, even if we'd prefer it otherwise.
